Fly into Quebec City at your leisure and enjoy this lovely town full of history and culture. We will meet at the beautiful Fairmont Le Chateau Frontenac.

In the late afternoon, there will be a briefing on the Journey including a review of the first flight leg which will take us over Quebec City to Nuuk, Greenland.

This evening we will gather for a welcome cocktail to get acquainted with the group before we enjoy our first dinner together.

Nuuk, Greenland

Reykjavik, Iceland

Our scenic flight across the Atlantic continues to Reykjavik, Iceland. Staying in the heart of the city overlooking the picturesque square of Austurvollur, we are within walking distance of Reykjavik’s iconic landmarks such as Hallgrímskirkja, the striking church that dominates the city skyline, and Althingi, the national parliament, one of the oldest existing parliaments in the world.

The following day, we will enjoy an incredible Super Jeep tour where you will witness Iceland’s most exciting natural attractions. First, we will visit Thingvellir National Park—a unique place of beauty with its interesting geology and history before heading eastbound on the mountain road to Lyngdalsheioi to view the lava fields on the hills above Laugarvatn. At Haukadalur we will visit the famous Strokkur geyser erupting and spewing boiling water into the air. We will spend some time here observing the eruptions and exploring the hot springs before heading up to the magnificent Gullfoss waterfall cascading into the white Hvita River along with glacial water.

Munich, Germany

The next leg of our Journey takes us to Munich, a modern, cosmopolitan city with a big heart and a long heritage in Germany. Upon arrival, we will transfer to Mandarin Oriental Munich, a luxurious five-star hotel nestled in the heart of the city’s old town. It blends elegant design with modern comfort, offering spacious rooms and suites, many with stunning views of the city. Guests can indulge in gourmet dining at Matsuhisa Munich, unwind at the rooftop pool with panoramic views, and enjoy personalized service that caters to every need.

Our time in Munich includes a half-day city tour to explore the marvels of the area. Discover Munich’s old town by foot, hearing fun facts and history about the city while enjoying photo stops at its prettiest sights such as Marienplatz, Frauenkirche, and Viktualienmarkt. The rest of the day is free for you to enjoy this historical city. For those who wish to continue their Munich exploration, there is an optional tour to visit The Dachau Camp, the first Nazi concentration camp in Germany during the Holocaust.

Our discovery continues as we venture on a full-day tour to visit the Royal Castle of Neuschwanstein, better known as “Mad King Castle.” In this experience, you will escape to the Bavarian foothills of Füssen to explore the magnificent castle that served as inspiration for Disney’s ‘Sleeping Beauty’ movie.

Bodrum, Turkey

Our Journey continues to Bodrum, situated on the southern Aegean coast of Turkey. This fabled coastline is where Homer’s heroes were born, where the ancient Greeks consulted their oracles, and the Romans built magnificent temples to honor their gods. Amanruya is set on a peaceful hillside, offering breathtaking views of the sea and a winding pathway leading to a sheltered pebble beach.

The next day, we will set sail on a half-day boat tour to explore Bodrum’s breathtaking coastline. Glide through turquoise waters, discover hidden coves, and visit picturesque bays. Relax on deck as we cruise past dramatic cliffs and quaint fishing villages, with stops to swim in crystal-clear waters and enjoy secluded beaches. With the sun shining and the Aegean breeze in the air, this unforgettable experience offers the perfect mix of relaxation and adventure.

Our time in Bodrum allows for some leisure time to relax or explore on your own. Amanruya’s Spa is an intimate sanctuary dedicated to holistic wellness, offering an extensive spa menu inspired by traditional Turkish wellness practices.

Luxor, Egypt

We will fly to Luxor, Egypt. Upon arrival, we will transfer to the luxurious Hilton Luxor Resort & Spa, nestled on the east bank of the River Nile in the village of Karnak. This Hilton gem offers stunning views of the river and the historic city of Luxor. Following an early dinner, we will visit the Luxor Temple, a marvel of ancient architecture initially crafted by Amenhotep III in 1380 BC.

The next day, we will explore Thebes, Luxor’s West Bank, and its secret tombs. We will discover the Valley of the Kings, home to richly-painted tombs of New Kingdom pharaohs, and the Valley of the Queens, the resting place of pharaohs’ wives and children. Next, we will stop at the Colossi of Memnon, two massive statues that once guarded the entrance to Amenhotep III’s great temple, followed by a visit to the Luxor Museum, which showcases artifacts from ancient Thebes.

Continuing our exploration of Luxor, we will experience the Sound and Light Show at Karnak Temple, where the temple complex is brought to life with lights and sound, revealing its architectural marvels and the tales of the pharaohs. If the weather permits, we will enjoy a felucca ride on the Nile to Banana Island and Crocodile Island. This comprehensive journey allows us to delve into the rich history of ancient Egypt.

Bahrain Bay, Bahrain

Our Journey takes us to Bahrain Bay, where we will check in at the luxurious Four Seasons Hotel. Set along the waterfront, this striking property offers panoramic views of the Arabian Gulf, exceptional dining, and a world-class spa. Guests may unwind by the infinity pool, indulge in a rejuvenating spa experience, or explore the lively surroundings of Bahrain Bay at their leisure.

During our time in Bahrain, we will also embark on a city tour that showcases the island’s vibrant contrasts, blending ancient heritage with modern sophistication. Highlights include the magnificent Al-Fateh Grand Mosque, the bustling Manama Souq, and the Bahrain National Museum with its rich archaeological collections. We arrive in Dubai, a dazzling city where futuristic design, luxury, and ancient tradition converge. Our stay begins at the iconic Burj Al Arab, set on a private island with panoramic views of the Arabian Gulf—offering world-class service and over-the-top elegance. 

The next morning is yours to enjoy at leisure. In the afternoon, we head into the Dubai Desert Conservation Reserve for an exhilarating dune-bashing adventure in 4×4 vehicles. The experience continues at a traditional desert camp with camel rides and sunset cocktails in the golden sands.

Our final day is open to relax or explore. Unwind at the hotel’s spa, visit the Burj Khalifa, shop at Dubai Mall, or wander the city’s historic souks. For those seeking more, an optional full-day tour to Abu Dhabi is available, featuring the stunning Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque and more.

Kathmandu, Nepal

Continuing our adventure, we will fly commercially (not included) to Kathmandu, Nepal, where we will transfer to Dwarika’s Hotel. This heritage property is renowned for its intricately carved wooden beams, serene courtyards, and exceptional service, offering guests an authentic and indulgent Nepali experience. Located near key cultural landmarks, it serves as the perfect base for exploring the vibrant city of Kathmandu.

During our stay, we will embark on a captivating city tour through the heart of Kathmandu, where ancient traditions and sacred landmarks converge in a vibrant tapestry of culture. Explore the spiritual serenity of Swayambhunath Stupa, perched high above the city, and witness the devotion at Pashupatinath Temple, one of Hinduism’s most sacred sites. Walk the tranquil paths around the majestic Boudhanath Stupa, a center of Tibetan Buddhism, and marvel at the intricate architecture of Kathmandu Durbar Square, once home to Nepal’s royal dynasty. Our adventure continues as we take a commercial flight (not included) to Thimphu, Bhutan, where we will check in at the luxurious Six Senses Thimphu. Surrounded by the Himalayas, this tranquil retreat offers elegant accommodations, a world-class spa, and sweeping views of the valley. Spend the afternoon relaxing or begin exploring the capital’s rich culture.

The next day, enjoy a guided city tour through the heart of Thimphu. Visit the impressive Tashichho Dzong, the National Memorial Chorten, and Buddha Point for panoramic views. We will also explore the Textile Museum.

The following morning, we will travel by road to Amankora Paro, our retreat near the iconic Tiger’s Nest Monastery. Along the way, enjoy a stop for a hands-on Bhutanese cooking class before continuing through the scenic Paro Valley.

Paro, Bhutan

After a scenic road transfer to Amankora Paro Lodge, we will pause for a special cooking class along the way, offering an introduction to traditional Bhutanese cuisine. Upon arrival, unwind at the tranquil lodge nestled in lush forest, an ideal setting to relax and take in the peaceful beauty of the Paro Valley.

The next day, embark on a memorable hike to the iconic Tiger’s Nest Monastery. Perched on a cliff at nearly 10,000 feet, this sacred site offers breathtaking views and a deeply spiritual atmosphere. Afterward, return to the lodge for a restful evening and reflect on the day’s unforgettable experience.

Dubai, United Arab Emirates

Today, we will take a commercial flight (not included) back to Dubai, where we will rest and recharge in preparation for the next day’s flight. The following morning, we will retrieve our airplanes and continue our Journey to Al Ula.

AL-Ula, Saudi Arabia

Our adventure begins with a flight from Al Ula, Saudi Arabia, via Heraklion, Crete, before landing in Montenegro—known as the pearl of the Mediterranean. Upon arrival, we’ll transfer to the luxurious One & Only Portonovi, located at the entrance to Boka Bay in Herceg Novi. During our stay, enjoy pristine beaches, sailing, and scenic forest hikes along Montenegro’s stunning coastline.

The following day, embark on a cruise through the Bay of Kotor, with its fjord-like landscapes and ancient fortified towns such as Kotor, Perast, and Tivat. We’ll visit the Blue Cave, where you can swim in its iridescent waters, and explore the Mamula Fortress and Yugoslavian military tunnels, once used to hide ships and submarines.

To wrap up our time in Montenegro, enjoy a day at leisure to relax or explore at your own pace. Our Journey takes us to Montenegro, the pearl of the Mediterranean. Upon arrival, we will transfer to the luxurious One & Only Portonovi, set at the entrance to Boka Bay in Herceg Novi. During our stay, enjoy pristine beaches, coastal sailing, or scenic hikes through forested trails along Montenegro’s breathtaking coastline.

The next day, embark on a cruise from Tivat through the Bay of Kotor, where fjord-like landscapes surround the historic towns of Kotor and Perast. We will visit the glowing Blue Cave for a swim in its iridescent waters and explore the Mamula Fortress along with hidden Yugoslavian military tunnels once used to conceal ships and submarines.

Lucerne, Switzerland

Our next destination is Lucerne, Switzerland, where we will be awestruck by the captivating beauty of the Swiss Alps and the serene Lake Lucerne. Nestled atop a mountain, the Bürgenstock Hotel offers breathtaking panoramic views of the lake, with its deep hues contrasting against the lush greens of the surrounding countryside and the majestic Alps rising in the distance.

The following day, our adventure continues with a guided exploration of Lucerne’s historic treasures. Descend to the marina and Lake Lucerne via the hotel’s private funicular, where we will embark on a leisurely boat excursion, taking in the mesmerizing scenery from the water. Following a delightful lunch in Lucerne, our local guide will lead us through the city’s charming streets, unveiling its rich history and cultural heritage. From the iconic Chapel Bridge to the picturesque Lucerne Castle, immerse yourself in the enchanting ambiance of the Old Town, adorned with 16th-century architecture and quaint alleyways.

Reykjavik, Iceland

As we begin our return home, we will launch for our over-water crossing to Iceland. Upon arrival, we will transfer to the Apotek Hotel in the heart of Reykjavik. This evening, we will gather for a farewell dinner to celebrate the experiences shared and reflect on the incredible adventure as it comes to a close.

The following morning, we bid farewell and begin our individual paths back home as our Journey comes to an end. En route, we will make two technical stops in Nuuk, Greenland and Goose Bay, Canada to refuel before continuing onwards to Bangor, Maine, to clear US Customs. Afterward, we will all go our separate ways home.
