Day 1 - Sunday, October 13: St. Augustine, Florida

We will meet at 9:00am in St. Augustine to spend the day exploring the nation’s oldest city, including a stop at Castillo de San Marcos - an outstanding reminder of the might of the early Spanish empire in the New World.

In the evening, we’ll take a Ghost Tour for an exciting storytelling excursion through downtown and visit some of the local haunts!

Day 2 - Monday, October 14: St. Augustine, Florida → Charleston, South Carolina (189nm)

In the morning we will have a briefing before heading to the airport for our short flight to Charleston; we will transfer to the elegant Charleston Place. The hotel is famous for its traditional southern hospitality.

The afternoon is free to explore this beautiful city and its historic district lined with tall, narrow houses of peeling, multicolored stucco, adorned with wooden shutters and ironwork balconies. Enjoy a stroll through Battery Park and White Point Gardens, which offer spectacular views of the harbor and Fort Sumter in the distance. Some of Charleston’s most beautiful mansions are located across from the park.

Optional tours include a carriage tour where you will learn the history of the city while sitting back and relaxing; a boat tour to Fort Sumter National Monument, the island fort at the entrance to Charleston Harbor where the Civil War began; a visit to the South Carolina Aquarium; or perhaps a tour of one of the magnificent old plantation homes.

Day 3 - Tuesday, October 15: Charleston, South Carolina

Today we will have an optional seminar, while those not interested are free to enjoy the hotel amenities, including an exquisite indoor/outdoor pool which lies beneath a retractable glass canopy and a spa filled with amenities meant to pamper and spoil, as well as a complete selection of massages and therapies.

You will also find the highest quality stores at the Shops at Charleston Place or along historic King Street.

Day 4 - Wednesday, October 16: Charleston, South Carolina → Cape Hatteras, North Carolina (261nm)

We will have an early-morning briefing before heading to the airport for our flight to Cape Hatteras to explore North Carolina’s Outer Banks. We’ll make a stop at the Wright Brothers National Memorial in Kill Devil Hills, where the Wrights became the first true pilots.

Day 5 - Thursday, October 17: Cape Hatteras, North Carolina → Williamsburg, Virginia (132nm)

After our early morning briefing, we will depart for Williamsburg “where America began and History lives”. This afternoon is at your leisure to enjoy the resort amenities, including indoor/ outdoor pools, tennis courts, and hiking and exercise trails.

Day 6 - Friday, October 18: Williamsburg, Virginia

Today we will take a city tour to discover Williamsburg.
 
There will be time to relax before our farewell dinner and ghost tour.

After breakfast, we’ll begin our journey home.
