Kangerlussuaq, Greenland

Fly over Canada’s vast forests and numerous lakes on the way to Goose Bay in northern Canada for a technical stop. Then, continue over the beautiful scenery of southern Greenland before landing at Kangerlussuaq in western Greenland. At Kangerlussuaq, check out the Kangerlussuaq Museum, which showcases the town’s past as a U.S. airbase during WWII. Afterward, enjoy an overnight stay to prepare for tomorrow’s flight.

Our scenic flight across the Atlantic continues to Reykjavik, Iceland. Staying in the heart of the city overlooking the picturesque square of Austurvollur, we are within walking distance of Reykjavik’s iconic landmarks such as Hallgrímskirkja, the striking church that dominates the city skyline, and Althingi, the national parliament, one of the oldest existing parliaments in the world.

After a leisure morning in town, we will embark on an excursion to the renowned Blue Lagoon, Iceland’s most iconic attraction. Surrounded by stunning landscapes, the Blue Lagoon is a testament to the healing powers of geothermal seawater. After breakfast and an in-depth briefing, we will launch for our over-water crossing to Iceland and spend the night at Hotel Borg.

The following morning, we’ll head west to return home. Two technical stops have been arranged in Kangerlussuaq, Greenland, and then in Goose Bay, Canada, for refueling before continuing onwards to Bangor, Maine, to clear US Customs. For those based on the west coast of the United States, an alternate stop to clear US customs can be arranged. Afterwards, we will all go our separate ways home.
