Day 1 - Saturday, August 26: Home → Quebec City, Canada (CYQB)

Welcome to Quebec City! Air Journey staff will greet you at the Fairmont Le Château Frontenac. Situated in the heart of historic Old Quebec, the hotel sits high on a bluff overlooking St. Lawrence River.

All participants will meet for introductions and attend an extensive briefing covering the general procedures of our journey as well as details for tomorrow's departure.

Afterwards, we will gather for a welcome cocktail before dinner.

Day 2 - Sunday, August 27: Quebec City, Canada (CYQB) → Goose Bay, Canada (CYYR) → Kangerlussuaq, Greenland (BGSF) (690 + 725 NM)

We will fly over the immense forests and numerous lakes of Canada on our way to Goose Bay for a technical stop. Then continue over southern Greenland’s beautiful scenery before landing at Kangerlussuaq in western Greenland, where we will enjoy an overnight stay.

Fly over ice-covered Greenland as we continue towards Iceland.

Upon arrival, we'll transfer to the Hotel Borg where we will enjoy luxury accommodations in the very center of Reykjavik. The Hotel Borg overlooks the beautiful square of Austurvollur, and is situated across from Althingi, the Icelandic parliament and the cathedral.

Day 4 - Tuesday, August 29: Reykjavik, Iceland (BIRK) → Prestwick, Scotland (EGPK) → Ostend, Belgium (EBOS) → Bruges, Belgium (735 + 372 NM)

Our Journey continues to Ostend, the capital of West Flanders in Northwest Belgium.

After our landing, we will transfer to Hotel Dukes’ Palace. This property is the former residence of the Burgundian aristocracy. It is a very unique hotel in Flanders, located in the heart of the UNESCO World Heritage city of Bruges.

Day 5 - Wednesday, August 30: Bruges, Belgium

Today, we will enjoy a walking tour with our local guide as we begin our exploration of Brugge. We will visit the famous Minnewater (Lake of Love), one of the most delightful corners of the city. Next, we will explore the Lady's Church — home to Michelangelo’s magnificent 16th-century marble statue, Madonna of Brugge — and the Market Square with its grand Belfry.

Our tour continues to the center of Bruges where we will admire Bruges’ beautiful Town Hall Square (Burg) and the ornate façade of the Basilica of the Holy Blood. The basilica was originally constructed in the 12th century as the residence of the Count of Flanders. After lunch we will visit the Groeninge Museum (‘The city museum of Fine Arts’). The collection in the museum spans several centuries (from the 14th to the 20th century) and focuses primarily on works by painters who lived and worked in Brugge.

Day 7 - Friday, September 01: Ostend, Belgium (EBOS) → Paris, France (LFPB) (140 NM)

Our flight for today takes us to Paris – the City of Lights – at the Pontoise airport.

We will indulge ourselves in the luxury of the Hotel Plaza Athenee – one of Paris’ most prestigious landmarks - located on Avenue Montaigne, the French capital’s most chic district. A leisurely evening stroll brings us to a local bistro where we will enjoy dinner.

Day 8 - Saturday, September 02: Paris, France

An introduction to Paris with a half-day city tour of the Eiffel Tower, Trocadero, St. Germain des pres, Notre Dame, Le Marais is on the schedule this morning. In addition, outside the hotel you have the prestigious Avenue Montaigne as well as the Champs Elysees for great shopping.

Tonight, we will enjoy a picturesque dinner cruise on the Seine River to explore Paris by night in the best possible way.

Day 9 - Sunday, September 03: Paris, France

After breakfast, we will cross the street from the Plaza Athenee to visit La Galerie Dior. Opened in Spring 2022, La Galerie Dior is a museum that covers the dazzling history of one of France’s most legendary maisons de couture. From its founding by namesake Christian Dior in 1946, through to the present day, It uses images and objects, and has room after room of stunning gowns, many that have never been displayed before to the general public.

The big entrance consists of a spiral staircase diorama with a rainbow of 1874 iconic Dior creations, recreated in 3D-printed miniatures. It is theatrical and magical, like a cross between a fashion show and a visit to Disneyland. If you take the time to read the information panels (in French and English), you can go in knowing nothing and feel like an expert on Dior when you leave.

Day 10 - Monday, September 04: Paris, France (LFPB) → Munich, Germany (EDDM) (375 NM)

Fly to Munich, a modern, cosmopolitan city with a big heart and a long heritage in Germany.

Upon arrival we will transfer to Munchen Palace. This upscale five-star boutique is located in the refined quarter of Bogenhausen. Its family run and personally managed, and offers a contemporary yet classical style throughout, from its luxurious rooms and elegant restaurant to the wood-panelled bar and peaceful garden.

Day 11 - Tuesday, September 05: Munich, Germany

Today, we will venture on a half-day city tour to explore the marvels of Munich. After breakfast we will discover Munich old town by foot. As we walk between sites, we will hear fun facts and history about the city and enjoy photo stops at its prettiest sights such as Marienplatz, Frauenkirche and Viktualienmarkt.

The rest of the day is free for you to enjoy this historical city. For those who wants to continue their Munich exploration, there is an optional tour to visit The Dachau Camp, the first Nazi concentration camp in Germany during the Holocaust.

Day 12 - Wednesday, September 06: Munich, Germany

Today we will venture on a full-day tour to visit the Royal Castle of Neuschwanstein, better known as “Mad King Castle”. In this experience you will escape to the Bavarian foothills of Füssen to explore the maginificent castle that served as inspiration for the Disney’s 'Sleeping Beauty' movie.

Day 13 - Thursday, September 07: Munich, Germany (EDDM) → Zurich, Switzerland (LSZH) → Lucerne, Switzwerland (145 NM)

Our next stop is Lucerne, Switzerland. We will fly into Zurich before transferring to Lucerne for our stay at the Burgenstock Hotel. Perched atop a mountain in central Switzerland, the Burgenstock Hotel overlooks beautiful Lake Lucerne with heart-stopping panoramic views.

The deep hues of the lake provide a dramatic contrast with the verdant greens of the surrounding forest and countryside. Beyond, the snow-capped Swiss Alps create a scenic Alpine backdrop.

Day 14 - Friday, September 08: Lucerne, Switzerland

The hotel’s private funicular (cable car) takes guests down to the marina and Lake Lucerne. With our local guide, we will enjoy a boat excursion on the lake to admire the beautiful scenery and surrounding area from the water.

After an enjoyable lunch in Lucerne, we will continue our guided tour through the narrow streets, viewing the historical places and attractions on land. Delve into Lucerne’s historic Old Town, stroll along the city walls, and see the 16th-century houses for which Lucerne is famous.

Today is at leisure to relax or explore on your own.

Day 16 - Sunday, September 10: Lucerne, Switzerland → Zurich, Switzerland (LSZH) → Tivat, Montenegro (LYVT) (530 NM)

After breakfast, we will transfer to the airport to fly to Montenegro - the pearl of the Mediterranean.

Upon arrival, we will transfer to the One & Only Portonovi. Situated just off the open Adriatic coastline at the entrance to Boka Bay in Herceg Novi, the One&Only Portonovi is the jewel of Montenegro's flourishing new Riviera. Experience pristine beaches, sun-soaked sailing, and forest hiking.

Day 17 - Monday, September 11: Tivat, Montenegro

Today, we will cruise the Bay of Kotor. Shades of the Norwegian fjords and Lake Como come to mind as we meander through the serpentine bay lined with the ancient fortified towns of Kotor, Risan, Tivat, Perast, Prcanj, and Herceg Novi. Dotted with Romanesque churches and quaint fishing villages, this is a land where time appears to stand still.

We will head to the Blue Cave as we go around the famous former prison Mamula and reach the open sea. There will be time for a swim inside the Blue Cave - a natural phenomenon that is been created by waves crashing for thousands of years at the Lustica peninsula. Iridescent lightning manifests itself on the water due to the Sun's radiance through small cave cracks.

On the way back we will visit the famous Yugoslavian military tunnels where they were hiding their ships and submarines.

Day 19 - Wednesday, September 13: Tivat, Montenegro (LYVT) → San Sebastian, Spain (LESO) (940 NM)

Our Journey continues to Spain with a visit to San Sebastian.

Located in the northeast corner of mainland Spain, in close proximity to France, the Hotel Maria Cristina, our home for the next 3 nights, sits in San Sebastian’s historic city center overlooking the Urumea River.

While surrounded by gardens and promenades, it is just a short walk from the white sandy beaches of this resort town.

Day 20 - Thursday, September 14: San Sebastian, Spain

With our local guide, we will go for a half day city tour of San Sebastian and see the Victoria Eugenia Theater, Paseo Nuevo promenade, San Telmo Museum, North Station, Avenida de la Zurriola and Buen Pastor Cathedral.

Day 21 - Friday, September 15: San Sebastian, Spain

Today we will enjoy a scenic drive to Bilbao, Spain, to discover the Guggenheim Museum, a magnificent example of the most ground breaking 20th century architecture. It has been designed by the Canadian-American Frank Gehry and inaugurated by the King Juan Carlos I of Spain in 1997. The museum holds the work of modern and contemporary artists from around the world. It is worth a visit!

Day 22 - Saturday, September 16: San Sebastian, Spain (LESO) → Shannon, Ireland (EINN) (630 NM)

Fly to Shannon where we will transfer to the picturesque village of Adare.

Situated in the lush heartlands of County Limerick, Adare Manor and Golf Resort is one of Ireland’s most evocative and spellbinding hotels. Steeped in exotic history and surrounded by medieval ruins, its 840-acre demesne is home to beautiful parklands, superb trout fishing on the river Maigue, and a renowned 18-hole championship golf course.

Day 23 - Sunday, September 17: Shannon, Ireland

With our local guide, we will explore the mighty Cliffs of Moher - one of Ireland’s most famous natural wonders. Hike along the 700’ high cliffs and admire spectacular views over the Atlantic Coast, Galway Bay and the Aran Islands. There will be a stop in Doolin, a lovely village where we will enjoy a traditional Irish pub lunch.

In the afternoon, we will visit Bunratty Castle and Folk Park. The park is a living history museum depicting 17th – 19th century rural Irish life through a series of cottages and street scenes.

Day 24 - Monday, September 18: Shannon, Ireland (EINN) → Reykjavik, Iceland (BIRK) (800 NM)

After breakfast and an in-depth briefing, we will head to Reykjavik, as we will start our way back home today. Upon arrival, we will transfer to the Apotek hotel, where we will enjoy an overnight stay, to rest and prepare ourselves for out flight for tomorrow.

Day 25 - Tuesday, September 19: Reykjavik, Iceland (BIRK) → Kangerlussuaq, Greenland (BGSF) → Goose Bay, Canada (CYYR) → Bangor, Maine, US (KBGR) (730 + 872 + 608 NM)

After breakfast and an in-depth briefing, we will head to Bangor, Maine, USA.We will have two technical stops to refuel, one in Kangerlussuaq, Greenland, and the other one in Goose Bay, Canada.

After our arrival in Bangor, Maine to clear customs, we will head separate ways back home.
