Itinerary
Welcome to Quebec! Air Journey will greet you at the Chateau Frontenac.
We'll meet in the late afternoon for introductions and an extensive briefing covering the general procedures of our journey as we prepare for tomorrow's departure.
Afterwards, we'll meet for a welcome cocktail and dinner at the hotel.
We'll fly over the immense forests and numerous lakes of Labrador on our way to Kuujjuaq for a technical stop. Our flight then continues over southern Greenland’s beautiful scenery before landing at Kangerlussuaq.
Fly to Reykjavik. The Hotel Borg overlooks the beautiful square of Austurvöllur, in the heart of Reykjavík, across from Althingi, the Icelandic parliament and the cathedral.
Enjoy an incredible full day Super Jeep tour where you will witness Iceland's most exciting natural attractions. We'll visit Thingvellir National Park - a unique place of beauty with its interesting geology and history - before heading Lyngdalsheiði to view the lava fields on the hills above Laugarvatn. At Haukadalur, you'll see the famous Strokkur geyser erupting and spewing boiling water into the air. We'll end the day with a swim in the Blue Lagoon, Iceland's most unique and popular attraction.
Our flight today takes us to Paris – the City of Lights – at the Pontoise airport. We’ll indulge ourselves in the luxury of the Hotel Plaza Athenee – one of Paris’ most prestigious landmarks - located on Avenue Montaigne, the French capital’s most chic district. A leisurely evening stroll brings us to a local bistro where we’ll enjoy dinner.
This morning we’ll transfer to Le Bourget Airport - once Paris’ main airport and where Charles Lindbergh landed after his transatlantic flight in 1927, site of the world’s largest Air Show and Plane Exhibition (up to 350 exhibitors and 40 countries represented).
Some may choose to spend the day visiting Paris’ most famous sights. Optional tours can be arranged including a visit to the Louvre Museum, Orsay Museum, a local Cooking Class, Wine Tasting, etc.
Today we will return to Le Bourget to continue our visit of the Air Show. Optional tours will be offered.
We will meet in the evening to transfer to Bateaux- Parisians where we will enjoy dinner while sailing on the Seine River with outstanding views of Paris and its beautiful architecture along the quays.
Fly to Tarbes. After lunch there, we’ll visit the Daher factory. Tracing its origins to the pioneering Morane-Saulnier aviation company – and more recently the well-known SOCATA – Daher is the world’s oldest aircraft manufacturer in operation today.
Afterwards, fly to Menorca - one of the Balearic Islands located in the western Mediterranean Sea.
Today we will cruise the local waters by private boat (weather permitting) as we explore the island. There’ll be time for swimming and along the way we’ll stop at a local restaurant for lunch.

Fly to Caen where we will spend three nights at the private and most unique chateau of Count Denis de Kergolay in Canisy. Enjoy the lifestyle of French royalty in this privately-owned Normandie castle. Set on 740 acres of verdant Normandie countryside and in existence for 1,000 years, the Château de Canisy is a historic presence of monumental proportions. It is even more special because for those thousand years it has belonged to the same family and is their home.
Discover the sites of D-day (June 6, 1944) - the largest invasion force in history! Codenamed OVERLORD, it delivered five naval assault divisions to the beaches of Normandy (codenames UTAH, OMAHA, GOLD, JUNO and SWORD). Walk among the cliffs, bunkers and edges old soldiers still talk about, visit several museums, D-Day memorials and the very moving American Cemetery.

After an in-depth briefing, we will launch for our overwater crossing to Reykjavik.
After breakfast and another in-depth briefing, we will head home.
There will be a technical stop in Kangerlussuaq and Goose Bay for lunch and to refuel.
