Day 1 - Sunday, May 28: Home → Quebec City, Canada (CYQB)

Welcome to Quebec City! Air Journey staff will greet you at the Fairmont Le Château Frontenac. Situated in the heart of historic Old Quebec, the hotel sits high on a bluff overlooking St. Lawrence River.

All participants will meet for introductions and attend an extensive briefing covering the general procedures of our journey as well as details for tomorrow's departure.

Afterwards, we will gather for a welcome cocktail before dinner.

Day 2 - Monday, May 29: Quebec City, Canada

Today we will enjoy a half-day city tour of Canada's oldest city: Quebec. With winding cobbled streets, centuries-old stone houses and a lively sense of joie de vivre filling the air, Quebec City is a wonderful place to explore.

Our guide will lead us on an entertaining walk through Vieux Quebec, where the 17th and 18th century homes and lively European- influenced street life makes it hard to believe you're still in North America.

Savour a café au lait from a local coffee shop. Learn about the Battle of Abraham in Battlefields Park and gaze at the imperious Chateau Frontenac, towering over the fortified town.

Day 3 - Tuesday, May 30: Quebec City, Canada (CYQB) → Goose Bay, Canada (CYYR) → Kangerlussuaq, Greenland (BGSF) → Reykjavik, Iceland (BIRK) (575 + 870 + 730 NM)

Fly over the immense forests and numerous lakes of Canada on our way to Goose Bay for a technical stop. Then continue over Greenland’s beautiful scenery before landing at Kangerlussuaq for our second technical stop. Afterwards, fly to Reykjavik, Iceland: our final stop of the day.

Upon arrival, we’ll transfer to The Reykjavik EDITION. This property, sets a new standard of luxury in Iceland's capital. Set against scenic mountain views on the Old Harbour, the hotel is conveniently located adjacent to Harpa, the landmark concert hall and conference center, and is just steps from Laugavegur, the main shopping street in downtown Reykjavik.

Day 4 - Wednesday, May 31: Reykjavik, Iceland

This morning we will venture in a walking city tour to explore the marvels of Reykjavik. Then, we will have a delightful culinary experience with a well-known private chef, who will introduces us to Iceland's culinary traditions.

In the afternoon we will visit Sky Lagoon, located in the downtown Reykjavik for a swim in its naturally warm waters.

Day 5 - Thursday, June 01: Reykjavik, Iceland (BIRK) → Shannon, Ireland (EINN)(795 NM)

Fly to Shannon where we will transfer to the picturesque village of Adare.

Situated in the lush heartlands of County Limerick, Adare Manor and Golf Resort is one of Ireland’s most evocative and spellbinding hotels. Steeped in exotic history and surrounded by medieval ruins, its 840-acre demesne is home to beautiful parklands, superb trout fishing on the river Maigue, and a renowned 18-hole championship golf course.

Day 6 - Friday, June 02: Shannon, Ireland

With our local guide we will explore the mighty Cliffs of Moher - one of Ireland’s most famous natural wonders. Hike along the 700’ high cliffs and admire spectacular views over the Atlantic Coast, Galway Bay and the Aran Islands.

There will be a stop in Doolin, a lovely village where we will enjoy a traditional Irish pub lunch.

In the afternoon we will visit Bunratty Castle and Folk Park. The park is a living history museum depicting 17th – 19th century rural Irish life through a series of cottages and street scenes.

Day 7 - Saturday, June 03: Shannon, Ireland

Today we will get up close with the world’s most majestic birds of prey. Our professional resident falconers will introduce us to a selection of eight raptors from a family of impressive birds of prey from around the world.

During our falconry experience, you will meet several owls from our aviary, it could be any combination drawn from the following; ‘Tiny’ our Scops Owl, ‘Olaf’ our Snowy Owl, ‘Oscar’ our Eurasian eagle Owl, ‘Willow’ our Bengal Eagle Owl, ‘Che’ our Mexican Striped Owl, ‘Noddy’ our Dark Breasted Barn Owl, or ‘Orlan’ our Common Barn Owl. We will also meet one of our Falcons, generally recognised as the fastest animals on the planet, and at least one Harris Hawk, which will fly free to your gloved hand.

Day 8 - Sunday, June 04: Shannon, Ireland (EINN) → Avignon, France (LFMV)

Fly to Avignon, France. Upon arrival, we will transfer to the port for our cruise on Barge Napoleon and sail along the River Rhône.

A champagne reception welcomes you on board and gives you achance to meet the crew. A cocktail cruise gives you your first
taste of cruising on the river. Later that evening, enjoy your first dining experience on board.

Day 9 - Monday, June 05: Excursion to Arles | Cruise to Avignon | Excursion to Pont Du Gard

After a delicious breakfast, we will join our guide for a tour of Arles, where Van Gogh created some of his most celebrated paintings between 1888 and 1890. Enjoy time at leisure in the charming town before returning to the barge for a lunch on board.

Cruise to Avignon, watching the scenery of the Rhone Valley drift by. We will pass the Pont Saint-Benezet (the famous Pont d’Avignon from the song) before mooring up at the quay opposite the gate to the walled city. Then, we will enjoy an afternoon excursion to the magnificent Pont du Gard, part of the Roman aqueduct that transported spring water from Uzès to Nîmes. You can still swim in the tranquil waters that flown beneath this remarkable piece of Roman architecture. We will return to the boat for an indulten dinner on board.

Day 10 - Tuesday, June 06: Excursion to the Walled City of Avignon | Cruise to Châteauneuf-du-Pape | Excursion to Chateauneuf du Pape

A walking tour introduces us to the walled city of Avignon. Enjoy a fascinating guided tour of the Palais des Papes, followed by free time to enjoy some shopping. Return to the barge, where lunch is followed by an afternoon cruise. We will visit the charming village of Chateauneuf du Pape, summer home of the Avignon Popes, for a delicious wine-tasting experience. Afterwards, we will return to the barge and relax on the top deck with a refreshing coacktail, watching the sun set from your idyllic rural mooring. Later in the evening, savour a sumptuous dinner on board.

Day 11 - Wednesday, June 07: Cruise to Viviers | Excursion to Viviers

This morning we will enjoy a leisurely cruise as we pass through the Ecluse de Bollene, the second deepest lock in Europe with a drop of approximately 23 meters. After lunch, arrive at our evening mooring location of Viviers and embark on a walking tour of the charming medieval town, exploring its winding cobbled streets and impressive St Vincent Cathedral. Later, visit a fragant lavander farm before returning to the barge for dinner.

Day 12 - Thursday, June 08: Avignon, France (LFMV) → Porto, Portugal (LPPR) → Duoro Valley, Portugal

An early morning cruise gets us to our final destination the enchanting Provençal Village of Grignan. After breakfast, we will disembark, transfer to Avignon to retrieve our planes then fly to Porto, Portugal.

Upon arrival we will transfer to Six Senses Douro Valley presenting a superbly renovated 19th-century manor house set high on a hill overlooking the vine covered rolling hills of the Douro Valley and the river below.

This former farmhouse is a luxurious spa retreat offering spectacular views. The serene setting is the oldest demarcated wine region in the world and a UNESCO world heritage site

Day 13 - Friday, June 09: Duoro Valley, Portugal

The Douro Valley is one of the most magnificent wine regions in the world. Characterized by the steep terraced vineyards that line the wide and winding Douro River, the hillsides are interspersed with white and yellow hacienda style wineries.

We will explore this beautiful valley as we visit some of the top wineries and enjoy VIP tours and tastings at these fascinating estates. Meet the expert winemakers and sample the rich ports and reds that are produced here. Later we will embark on a cruise along the winding Douro River.

Day 14 - Saturday, June 10: Duoro Valley, Portugal

Today we will enjoy a cooking class at the hotel. We will learn with the chef how Portuguese recipes can be delicious, colorful, and healthy at the same time. We will step back in time and discover how freshly pickled vegetables and herbs can elevate traditional Portuguese recipes. Our Chef will prepare a delicious meal in front of us while we will witness every step to the final result. Then it's all ours to savor and delight!

Day 15 - Sunday, June 11: Duoro Valley, Portugal → Porto, Portugal (LPPR) → Seville, Spain (LEZL) (256 NM)

Our flight for today will takes us to Seville - the capital of Southern Spain’s Andalusia region.

We will transfer to Hotel Alfonso XIII, commissioned by the King of Spain to play host to International Dignitaries during the 1929 Exhibition, Hotel Alfonso remains an iconic cultural landmark. Tonight, we will attend a Flamenco Show, and afterwards, we will enjoy dinner at a Michelin Star restaurant.

Day 16 - Monday, June 12: Seville, Spain

Today we will go for a half-day city tour to explore the history of Seville – Bridge of Isabel II, Reales Alcázares, La Real Maestranza, Archive of the Indies, Plaza de La Encarnación, Plaza de España and view of La Giralda.

Day 17 - Tuesday, June 13: Seville, Spain (LEZI) → Marrakech, Morocco (GMMX) (365 NM)

Our Journey continues to Marrakech in North Africa. Known as the "Red City", Marrakech is one of the world's most mysterious and fascinating cities. As the second of the four Imperial Cities of Morocco, it is at the crossroads of Arab, Berber and Sudanese civilizations.

After clearing customs in Marrakech, we will transfer to Royal Mansour. Set within the walls of Marrakech’s old city, the Royal Mansour Marrakech is an oasis of elegant riads all with private courtyards, fountains, and plunge pools.

Day 18 - Wednesday, June 14: Marrakech, Morocco

This morning is free to enjoy the beautiful hotel. In the early afternoon we will depart with our private tour guide to discover the famous Djemma el Fna Square, the mythical meeting place of snake charmers, storytellers and a thousand other characters at the center of Marrakech. You will have the chance to meet some artists and discover this magical place

Day 19 - Thursday, June 15: Marrakech, Morocco

Today we will try one of Royal Mansour Marrakech’s cooking workshops and we will take advantage of this unique opportunity to learn delicious and balanced recipes from their renowned chefs.

During the class, we’ll be introduced to an incredible wealth of culinary knowledge keeping pleasure at its heart. From traditional Moroccan recipes and practical tips to the exploration of alternative diets – we will learn their chefs’ best-kept secrets.

Day 20 - Friday, June 16: Marrakech, Morocco (GMMX) → Olbia, Sardinia (LIEO) (1,015 NM)

Our Journey continues to Olbia, Sardinia. Overlooking one of the most beautiful bays of the Costa Smeralda, the Hotel Cala di Volpe was built to resemble an ancient fishing village, with porches, granite flooring, arches and stairs.

A wooden bridge plunges into the crystalline waters of the sea while the beach is surrounded by juniper and myrtle bushes, typical Sardinian rocks span the bay, helping to create the unique atmosphere for one of the most beautiful landscapes in the Mediterranean.

Day 21 - Saturday, June 17: Olbia, Sardinia

Today we will enjoy an unforgettable full-day boat trip to the islands of the La Maddalena Archipelago. We will visit all the most beautiful islands: Spargi, Budelli, Santa Maria and La Maddalena in a unique setting, and we will have plenty of time to swim in crystal clear waters, and check out some local souvenir shops.

Day 22 - Sunday, June 18: Olbia, Sardinia

Our tour for today takes us to the highlights of Costa Esmeralda. We’ll start the drive through the hills overlooking the sea, stopping at a viewpoint, before reaching Porto Cervo, the center of the Emerald Coast. Once there, we’ll visit the harbors, the Stella Maris church, and we will drive through the hills among luxurious villas. There will be some time to have a coffee or look at the shops.

Next, we’ll continue our panoramic drive and the next stop will be a viewpoint towards the La Maddalena archipelago between Sardinia and Corsica.

Our last stop will be the charming town of San Pantaleo, where you can enjoy a glass of wine on a lovely terrace overlooking the granite piazza in front of the church.

Day 23 - Monday, June 19: Olbia, Sardinia (LIEO) → Leeds, Egland (EGNM) → Reykjavik, Iceland (BIRK) (900 + 875 NM)

Today we will enjoy a Glacier & Iceberg Cruise, sailing past a fascinating variety of floes and icebergs.

On a clear day, the landscape is truly surreal. Hundreds of icebergs surround Ilulissat. They vary in shape from flat- topped hunks to jagged mountain peaks, and vary in size from small doghouses to mega-cruise ships and larger. And that's just the part above the surface! The Ice Fjord, which is close to Hotel Arctic, was included on UNESCO's World
Heritage List at the 28th of The World Heritage Committee in the summer of 2004.

The Ice Fjord contains one of the biggest and most active glaciers in the world. Its 3,000 square kilometre area advances at a rate of 20 metres per day. The glacier "calves" about 10 % of the inland ice that is pressed out into the sea from Greenland, and there is nothing in the whole world that resembles it.

Day 24 - Tuesday, June 20: Reykjavik, Iceland (BIRK) → Kangerlussuaq, Greenland (BGSF) → Iqaluit, Canada (CYFB) → Churchill, Canada (CYYQ) (730 + 485 + 790 NM)

Continuing our way to the west, we will fly to Churchill. In Manitoba's remote north, the tiny town of Churchill has long attracted travelers in search of wild spaces and even wilder animals. In summer, beluga whales arrive by the thousands to the shores of Hudson Bay. A real frontier town, no roads lead to Churchill. The only access is a twice-weekly train or by charter or private plane.

Day 25 - Wednesday, June 21: Churchill, Canada

On the shores of Hudson Bay, embark on a Tundra Buggy adventure in search of Arctic fox, Arctic hare, caribou and summer polar bears. Then, take a private excursion via Zodiac boat on the Churchill River to see beluga whales, which migrate into the warm shallow waters, followed by a visit to the 18th-centruy Fort Prince of Wales.

Day 26 - Thursday, June 22: Churchill, Canada (CYYQ) → Fargo, ND, USA (KFAR) → Home

After breakfast, we will transfer to the airport and fly to Fargo, North Dakota - where we will clear customs - before heading home.
