Day 1 - September 6th: Bar Harbor, ME (KBHB)

Air Journey will welcome you when all participants meet for introductions and to attend a very detailed briefing and flight safety demonstration. We'll cover the route, regulations, flight plan, safety, etc.

Day 2 - September 7th: Bar Harbor (KBHB) => Goose Bay, Canada (CYYR) - 617 NM

On our way today we will fly over the immense forests and numerous lakes of Labrador. Because we will be approaching the Arctic Circle and the "land of the midnight sun," we will have an astonishing 17 hours of daylight!

Day 3 - September 8th: Goose Bay (CYYR) =>Iqaluit 675 NM => Narsarsuaq, Greenland (BGBW) - 674 NM 

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel.

Our flight today takes us to Southern Greenland, where we will view the beautiful scenery before landing at Narsarsuaq airport. The airport was built by the US Air Force during World War II as a stopping-off point for planes flying to and from Europe and has been operated as an international civil airport since 1959.

There will be a stop in Iqaluit for lunch and to refuel.

Day 4 - September 9th: Narsarsuaq (BGBW) => Reykjavik, Iceland (BIRK) - 667NM

After breakfast and our regular briefing, we will leave for Reykjavik, flying over ice-covered Greenland and then do our second water crossing. Tonight we will have dinner at the hotel restaurant.

Day 5 - September 10th: Reykjavik 

Today we will enjoy a full day of sightseeing where you will witness Iceland's most exciting natural attractions:  the magnificent waterfall Gullfoss; visit the volcanic crater Kerid and the greenhouse village Hveragerdi; drive across Gjabakkavegur Pass to the Thingvellir National Park, a unique place of beauty, with its interesting geology and history.

Dinner will be at the famous downtown restaurant, Einar Ben, located in one of the oldest trading buildings in Reykjavik.

Day 6 - September 11th: Reykjavik (BIRK) => Inverness, Scotland (EGPE) - 652NM 

We'll have a briefing before we fly southwest toward the British Isles for our next stop in Inverness, Scotland where we will stay at the Bunchrew House. This fine Scottish mansion situated on the shores of Beauly Firth is the ancestral home of both the Fraser and the McKenzie clans. The house dates from 1621 and is set on 8 hectares (20 acres) of landscaped gardens. You get a glimpse of a bygone era while relaxing in the paneled drawing room with roaring log fires.

Day 7 - September 12th: Inverness

Today we will tour the countryside including Loch Ness, Clava Cairns and Cawdor Castle.

Day 8 - September 13th: Inverness (EGPE) => Paris, France (LFPB) - 551NM 

Our adventure continues as we cross the Channel and process directly to Paris to arrive at Pontoise, north of the city.

We'll indulge ourselves in the luxury of the Hotel Plaza Athenee - one of Paris' most prestigious landmarks - located on Avenue Montaigne, the French capital's most chic district.

We'll take an evening stroll to a local bistro where we'll enjoy dinner.

Day 9 - September 14th: Paris

This morning you will enjoy a 1/2 day city tour to discover the highlights of Paris.

Afternoon is free to enjoy the city.

We will meet in the evening for dinner on an elegant Seine River cruise which will let us discover Paris' beautiful architecture along the quays.

Day 10 - September 15th: Paris

Today is at leisure to relax or explore Paris on your own.

Optional tours can be arranged including a visit to the Louvre Museum, Orsay Museum, a local Cooking Class, Wine tasting, etc.

Day 11 - September 16th: Paris (LFPB) => Ibiza, Balearic Islands, Spain (614 NM) 

We will fly to Spain today and discover the charming island of Ibiza. This island has no secrets for us as we have enjoyed our family vacation home here for the past 25 years. With a mixture of Greek and Moroccan style, this island is ideal for exploring its beautiful, typical countryside. Our hotel, Fenicia Prestige Thalasso Spa, is situated on the banks of the Santa Eulalia River. A rental car per plane will be provided.

Day 12 - September 17th: Ibiza

Enjoy a beautiful day discovering the island. We'll meet for a sunset walking tour in the old city of Ibiza offering impressive examples of local architecture and outstanding views before attending dinner in the old city.

Day 13 - September 18th: Ibiza/Formentera/Ibiza

Today we will board our private boat to cruise along the coast line with beautiful small bays and beaches to explore the beautiful coast of the island of Formentera. There's no finer way to discover the true delights of the Mediterranean. We'll enjoy lunch with a great view.

Day 14 - September 19th: Ibiza, Spain (LEIB) => Venice, Italy (Padova) 608 NM

After breakfast, we'll return our cars at the airport before departing for our next destination, Venice. Upon arrival at Padova airport (LIPU), we will transfer (30mn) and arrive in style in our Vaporetto at the beautiful Hotel Danieli.

The afternoon is free to enjoy this romantic city embellished with monuments of rare splendor making it truly unique.

Day 15 - September 20th: Venice

Today is free to enjoy this delightful city at leisure. You may want to discover the islands of Murano (glass-making) and Burano (lace-making) or Torcello.

No dinner is planned so that you may enjoy a romantic dinner on your own.

Day 16 - September 21st: Venice => Calvi, Corsica, France 217NM

We will leave Venice to fly to the island of Corsica (France) and land in Calvi. Our home for the next three nights is the beautiful hotel La Villa, one of the most beautiful Mediterranean hotels and a great place to recover from the excitement of Venice. With so much to do, this is a great opportunity to discover the most acclaimed destination in Corsica. This is a unique destination for hiking, boating and sightseeing.

Optional activities are available or just take pleasure in the breathtaking scenery and some well deserved relaxation.

Day 17 - September 22nd: Calvi

Today is at leisure to relax and explore this beautiful island. If you enjoy walking, you will definitely enjoy the national park of Scandola (Unesco) or the Agriate Desert. Take a stroll in the old city of Calvi or discover the villages of Balagne.

Today we will enjoy a full day boat tour to discover the village of Girolata - accessible only by boat (weather permitting)

Today we will fly to Bordeaux, the wine country of France, and spend the next three nights in a luxurious hotel and spa: Chateau Grande Barrail located near St. Emilion one of the most beautiful villages of France. During our stay you will tour wineries, enjoy the medieval St. Emilion village and may enjoy biking, horseback riding and educate yourself on French Bordeaux wines.

Day 21 - September 26th: Bordeaux

We will head back to the British Isles for our stop in Cambridge.

Day 23 - September 28th: Cambridge

A visit of the Imperial Museum of Duxford, Europe's premier aviation museum, is on the schedule. This famous heritage site began as an airfield in the First World War and also played a vital role in the Second World War, firstly as a RAF fighter station and later as an American fighter base. Today it has one of the finest collections of tanks, military vehicles and naval exhibits in the country.

Day 24 - September 29th: Cambridge => Wick (391 NM) => Reykjavik, Iceland (637 NM)

After breakfast and an in-depth briefing, we will launch for our over-water crossing to Iceland. There will be a stop in Wick for lunch and to refuel.

Day 25 - September 30th: Reykjavik => Nuuk, Greenland (771 NM) => Goose Bay, Canada (705 NM)

After breakfast and another in-depth briefing, we will head for Goose Bay (or Iqaluit) with a stop in Nuuk (or Kangerlussuaq) for lunch and to refuel before taking our final over-water crossing and touching down on the North American continent in Canada.

Day 26 - October 1st: Goose Bay => Bangor, ME (608 NM)

After breakfast and a briefing, we will fly our separate ways as we complete our journey home.
