Day 1 - Wednesday, May 17: Quebec City, Canada

Welcome to Quebec! Air Journey staff will greet you at the Chateau Frontenac.

All participants will meet for introductions and attend an extensive briefing covering the general procedures of our journey as well as details for tomorrow’s departure.

Afterwards, we’ll meet for a welcome cocktail before dinner.

Day 2 - Thursday, May 18: Quebec City, Canada → Kuujjuaq, Canada (690nm) → Kangerlussuaq, Greenland (725nm)

We’ll fly over the immense forests and numerous lakes of Labrador on our way to Kuujjuaq for a technical stop. Then continue over southern Greenland’s beautiful scenery before landing at Kangerlussuaq. Because we will be approaching the Arctic Circle and the “land of the midnight sun”, we will have an astonishing 20 hours of daylight!

Day 3 - Friday, May 19: Kangerlussuaq, Canada → Reykjavik, Iceland (730nm)

Fly over ice-covered Greenland and then do our second water crossing. Upon arrival, we’ll transfer to the Hotel Borg where we will enjoy luxury accommodations in the very center of Reykjavik. The Hotel Borg overlooks the beautiful square of Austurvöllur, and is situated across from Althingi, the Icelandic parliament and the cathedral.

After dinner at the hotel, you may want to venture on your own to experience the local nightlife.

Day 4 - Saturday, May 20: Reykjavik, Iceland

Enjoy a full day of sightseeing with a visit to the famous Geysir hot spring area with numerous hot springs and geysers - one of them erupts every few minutes; take a look at the magnificent waterfall Gullfoss; visit the volcanic crater Kerid and the greenhouse village Hveragerdi; drive across Gjabakkavegur Pass to the Thingvellir National Park, a unique place of beauty, with its interesting geology and history; then cross Mosfellsheidi Heath to Reykjavik; visit the Blue Lagoon. It is certainly a great experience that is not to be missed.

We will see volcanic craters, geysers, waterfalls and the national park Thingvellir, which is Iceland’s national treasure and one of its most beautiful spots.

Day 5 - Sunday, May 21: Reykjavik, Iceland → Knock, Ireland (735nm)

Fly to Ireland West Airport in Cong. The oldest castle in Ireland, dating to 1228, Ashford fits everyone’s fantasy of a medieval fortress, with soaring turrets, breathtaking views of Lough Corrib and a resident ghost. Set on 350 scenic acres, the luxurious, five-star property was once the estate of the famed Guinness family.

The rural setting accommodates a host of outdoor activities, including fly-fishing, golf, horseback riding, and hawk flying overseen by Ireland’s first school of falconry.

Day 6 - Monday, May 22: Knock, Ireland

With our local guide we will explore scenic Connemara. Enjoy panoramic views filled with rugged purple mountains, deep blue lakes and shimmering seascapes.

We’ll visit Kylemore Abbey, situated in the heart of Connemara amidst rivers, lakes and rolling hills. Most recently this former 19th century neo-Gothic mansion, with massive walls and gracious windows,was a prestigious boarding school.

Day 7 - Tuesday, May 23: Knock, Ireland

Today is at leisure to relax or explore on your own. Enjoy the hotel grounds and amenities including horseback riding, hunting, clay target shooting, golf, tennis, river fishing and falconry.

Day 8 - Wednesday, May 24: Knock, Ireland → London, England (330nm)

Our next stop is London where we will land at Southend Airport. Upon arrival, transfer to the luxurious Dorchester Hotel. Strategically located in London's exclusive Mayfair on Park Lane (between Marble Arch and Hyde Park Corner) it is one of the world's most prestigious hotels.

Day 9 - Thursday, May 25: London, England

This morning we’ll enjoy an introduction to London with a half day city tour. Explore the Tower of London with a Beefeater guide, see Westminster Abbey, Big Ben and St. Paul’s Cathedral before stopping to watch the Changing of the Guard ceremony at Buckingham Palace.

Day 10 - Friday, May 26: London, England

Today is at leisure to enjoy the city on your own. Outside the hotel you have easy access to London's most exclusive shopping areas including New Bond Street, Old Bond Street and Knightsbridge. Oxford Street and Piccadilly are also close by.

Tonight we will see the Royal Shakespeare Company's production of Matilda the Musical based on Roald Dahl's much-loved story about a little girl with an extraordinary imagination.

Day 11 - Saturday, May 27: London, England → Sorrento, Italy (925nm)

Fly to Sorrento – gateway to the Amalfi Coast. A former 11th century palace set on cliffs beside the Amalfi Coast, Hotel Caruso seems to drift on a ‘balcony’ above the Mediterranean Sea. In a triumph of the restorer’s skills, its ancient walls and fresco-covered ceilings have been carefully preserved to make it a work of art in itself. Stroll through the terraced gardens or lounge beside the stunning infinity pool.

Day 12 - Sunday, May 28: Sorrento, Italy

We’ll board the ferry for the scenic ride to the Bay of Naples’ most exquisite island, Capri, with its picturesque cobblestone alleys and piazzettas, churches and mysterious blue grottoes. With our local guide we’ll explore the highlights of the town. Enjoy stunning views over the entire island from the chairlift connecting Anacapri to the summit of Monte Solaro – the highest point on the island offering a panorama vista of the island and the Sorrentine Peninsula.

Visit the Piazzetta of Capri – the center of the island’s social scene, stroll through the Gardens of Augustus, and wander through the colorful local boutiques. Late afternoon, we’ll board the ferry back to our port.

Day 14 - Tuesday, May 30: Sorrento, Italy → Dubrovnik, Croatia (190nm)

Fly to Dubrovnik – the “Pearl of the Adriatic”. An iconic city with ancient walls that have protected the city’s medieval  churches, palaces and monasteries for more than seven centuries, Dubrovnik is considered one of the most beautiful stone-built cities in the world.

Prominently situated on the cliffs above Dubrovnik’s prestigious St. Jacob precinct, Villa Dubrovnik provides  spectacular views of the crystal blue-turquoise waters of the Adriatic and the Old City.

Day 15 - Wednesday, May 31: Dubrovnik, Croatia

This morning we’ll take a walking tour through Dubrovnik. More than a thousand-year history is reflected in every part of the town. As one of UNESCO World Heritage Sites, Dubrovnik owes its special charm to the historic monuments which testify to its rich history.

Day 16 - Thursday, June 1: Dubrovnik, Croatia → Prague, Czech Republic (480nm)

Fly to the Czech Republic to discover the beautiful city of Prague. One of the most beautiful and visited cities of Europe, this capital of 1.2 million has an incredible mix of Gothic, Romanesque, Baroque and Art Nouveau architecture. The Vltava River winds through this "city of a hundred spires", its riverbanks and the surrounding hills contrasting with the compact, winding cobblestone streets of the old city center.

Prague is lively and sophisticated, drawing on its centuries-old tradition of breakthrough thinking in literature, music, architecture and engineering. At the crossroads of centuries-old trade routes and now the cultural and economic center of the Czech Republic, Prague is an art-filled jewel in the heart of Europe. Alive with music and culture, it offers elegant riverside promenades, breath-taking architecture and cafe-lined squares.

Day 17 - Friday, June 2: Prague, Czech Republic

Enjoy a full day of sightseeing as we explore the history and precious cultural and architectonic heritage of Prague. It is one of the most attractive sites in Europe and not only for its geographic location is called “Heart of Europe”. It lies in the center of Bohemia on the river.

Prague has been an important center of the society and politics and a cross-road of various cultures for centuries. This cultural variety contributed to the creation of one of the most unique urban entities in the world.

Prague is considered as one of the richest treasuries of world architecture the exceptionality of which has been acknowledged by entering the Prague historical town reserve in the UNESCO List of the World Heritage.

Day 18 - Saturday, June 3: Prague, Czech Republic → Copenhagen, Denmark (335nm)

Fly to Copenhagen. Transfer to the Hotel d'Angleterre - located in the heart of Copenhagen.

For more than 250 years, the d’Angleterre has been located on Kongens Nytorv in the heart of Copenhagen.

The hotel has been the site for legendary political, royal and national events throughout Denmark’s history.

It was at the d’Angleterre that the Danish politician and theologian; Ditlev Gothard Monrad presented his draft of the new constitution to the lawmakers of the day on the 5th of June 1849. The hotel has served as headquarters for German generals and officers during World War II as well as an asylum for war refugees on a number of occasions.

Day 19 - Sunday, June 4: Copenhagen, Denmark

Depart the hotel with our local guide for a walking tour of the city. You’ll learn about the city's interesting history and visit some of the highlights of the Danish capital and its famous landmarks such as the statue of the Little Mermaid inspired by Hans Christian Anderson’s fairy  tale, City Hall, Christiansborg Palace, the old City Center, and picturesque Nyhavn Harbour.

After lunch we’ll head to the Northern Sealand. During our drive along the scenic coastline we’ll come to the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Kronborg Castle, better known as the Hamlet castle in the city of Elsinore. From here, we’ll cross into the countryside of North Sealand for our tour of “Fredensborg”, the palace of peace, where it is possible to take a walk in the Queen’s own park. You will finish at the re-established Renaissance era Frederiksborg Castle and discover the Danish national history.

Day 20 - Monday, June 5: Copenhagen, Denmark

Today is at leisure to relax or explore on your own. Nearby to the Royal Theatre, Nyhavn Canal and the pedestrian shopping street Strøget, d’Angleterre is surrounded by the best shopping, design, dining, and cultural experiences Copenhagen has to offer!

Day 21 - Tuesday, June 6: Copenhagen, Denmark → Stavanger, Norway (300nm) → Reykjavik, Iceland (845nm)

After breakfast and an in-depth briefing, we will launch for our over-water crossing to Iceland. There will be a technical stop in Stavanger.

Day 22 - Wednesday, June 7: Reykjavik, Iceland → Nuuk, Greenland (730nm) → Goose Bay, Canada (870nm) → Home

After breakfast and another in-depth briefing, we will fly to Goose Bay with a stop in Nuuk for lunch and to refuel before taking our final over-water crossing and touching down on the North American continent in Canada.
