Day 1 - Saturday, September 15th: Newport → St. John, New Brunswick (325 NM) → St. Stephen

Follow the rocky Atlantic coast over the Acadia National Park and fly over the Bay of Fundy to St. John, New Brunswick to clear Customs. We will then fly to St. Stephen to get settled for a cocktail and lodging in the beautiful town of St. Andrews-by-the-Sea.

Day 2 - Sunday, September 16th: St. Andrews-by-the-Sea

Experience the tranquility of the seashore and the invigorating air of the ocean. Witness the highest tides in the world and do some whale watching. Or go for a round of golf on the prestigious PGA Algonquin Signature Golf Course.

Day 3 - Monday, September 17th: St. Stephen → Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island (185 NM)

Fly over the southern part of the Gulf of St. Lawrence, see below an unusual geology of beautiful farmland and red soil. View quaint fishing villages. See the musical "Anne of the Green Gables" at the Confederation Center of the Arts. Visit the Shipbuilding Museum, or simply relax in this old fishing town. Discover miles of white sand beaches and fragile dunes. Stay in the middle of the historical town at the Inn on Prince George where there is truly a blend of the past with today's comforts

Day 4 - Tuesday, September 18th: Charlottetown

Discover the “Birthplace of Canada”. We'll take a sightseeing tour. Spend the afternoon on an optional adventure of either kayaking, biking, seal watching, or golfing, or take an optional afternoon tour to discover the North Shore of Prince Edward Island.

Day 5 - Wednesday, September 19th: Charlottetown → St. Pierre and Miquelon (288 NM)

Today we will fly to the charming French Islands of St. Pierre and Miquelon. For almost 250 years, these islands have remained part of France and continue the European way of life today.

Day 6 - Thursday, September 20th: St. Pierre and Miquelon

 
Enjoy the day exploring these two unique islands. In St. Pierre, lunar landscapes are a stones throw away from deep valleys rich with brooks and lakes carved out by the last ice age. In Miquelon, you can watch seals and wild horses from the same sand dunes which are littered with the remnants of shipwrecks. Optional tours will be offered.

Day 7 - Friday, September 21→: St. Pierre and Miquelon → Halifax, Nova Scotia (326 NM)

We will fly over the rugged granite coast of Nova Scotia; land of lighthouses. In Halifax, we will check in at the Prince George Hotel, located in the heart of the city, just a short walk from the historic waterfront and surrounded by the city's finest dining, shopping and entertainment. Step back in time to the days of the whalers. Wander in the Maritime Museum where you'll see the stunning display of artifacts from the Titanic. Learn about a lesser known maritime disaster when an ammunition ship blew up and leveled the town.

Day 8 - Saturday, September 23rd: Halifax → Bangor, Maine (226 NM)

 
Time to say goodbye for those returning home. You may want to spend more time here and continue the Journey with the Halifax Extension we offer (strongly recommended, see below).

Full day tour to discover Peggy's Cove, Luneburg and visit Halifax; the world's second largest natural harbor after Sydney, Australia, and site of the world's third oceanographic research center: The Bedford Institute of Oceanography. In Halifax, there are many things to do but we recommend that you take a view from the Citadel, visit the historic site of Pier 21, where nearly half a million troops departed in World War II and over a million immigrants first entered Canada, and save some time for the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic. Follow the rugged but spectacular Atlantic coast lined with lighthouses before crossing the Gulf of Maine.
